Types of IVF medication

The pill helps regulate menstrual cycles and create a reproductive system for IVF.

Birth control pills

When a woman begins the process of active pregnancy, we recommend taking the vitamin with at least 400 mg of folic acid.

Prenatal vitamins

This medication enables the body to produce a higher number of quality eggs.


Ganirelix can help prevent premature ovulation.


These injections increase the growth of follicles in the eggs. We always prescribe the following types of FSH: Gonal-F (# 2), Follistim (# 4) or Menopur.

Follicle-stimulating hormone

An oral antibiotic is used to treat infections such as sperm reduction.


A synthetic human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) injection is used to trigger ovulation.


It is used to treat patients with anti-sperm antibodies and miscarriage.


A steroid that synchronizes the lining of the uterus with the treatment cycle to ensure that the uterus is ready for embryo implantation.


Estrace is used to deliver estrogen and is available in tablet form for oral or vaginal use.


Muscle relaxant, an anti-anxiety drug provided before embryo transfer.


The drug is first used to stimulate the ovaries before they become blocked, which can also prevent ovulation.
