Insurance Coverage for IVF in Arkansas

There is an infertility mandate in Arkansas that mandates some insurance companies to fund in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedures.

This regulation also applies to group health plans that cover state employees as well as health benefit plans regulated by the state of Arkansas.

Some Regulatory points are:-

- In vitro fertilization must be covered by all individual and group insurance policies that offer maternity benefits (IVF). The law does not apply to HMOs.

- $ 15,000-lifetime maximum for coverage.

- The previous condition is limited to 12 months.

- Include cryopreservation as an IVF technique.

- The IVF benefit may cover other infertility procedures or treatments at the insurer’s discretion.

- The same deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums that apply to maternity benefit provisions also apply to IVF coverage.
