Complications that may occur with ICSI

Following are the complications that may occur with ICSI: –

Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

A hormonal drug administration that stimulates the ovaries to create multiple follicles.

Multiple pregnancy

As a result of the transfer of two embryos. There is an increased chance of getting pregnant with multiples.

Damage can occur to egg

The needle penetration can cause some or all eggs to be damaged.

Embryo fails to grow

The embryo may not develop even after being inoculated with sperm.
